FREE-THINKING

YOUR INVITATION

This section is the staging area for new exploration. Observations about a single article should be posted as comments to that article.

HERE you post new comments or reply to an existing comment, creating a thread. Threads that gain momentum here become fresh lectures in this section.

You are the graduate students helping to write a book, as explained in the blog. Topics of general interest here are likely to become articles in the blog. If you do not specify "not for quotation," you are granting permission (license) for me to quote passages or whole posts in my articles, books, and elsewhere, giving citation credit to your name as you have registered and displayed it here. You may post only material that you own or have a right to distribute according to acceptable copyright law.

Discussion is moderated. Adversarial or confrontational posts, especially those promoting fighting anything, are not acceptable.

You can write whole articles here as comments, but cannot upload text files here as attachments. (I'm working on that.) Mark your comment "for administrator only" if you want to discuss it with me before it is shared with everyone.

Lesson Summary

This section serves as a platform for generating new ideas and discussions. It is the space where users can share observations, post comments, and engage in conversations related to specific articles.

  • Participants can contribute new comments or respond to existing ones, creating threaded discussions.
  • Active threads can evolve into standalone lectures within this area.
  • Users are likened to graduate students assisting in the creation of a book, as outlined in the accompanying blog.
  • Topics garnering significant interest may be developed into full-fledged blog articles.
  • By default, comments are considered quotable unless specified otherwise, granting permission for the author to potentially cite them in articles or books with proper attribution.
  • Users are required to post only content that they own or are authorized to distribute under existing copyright regulations.
  • Conversations are moderated, and posts endorsing conflict or aggression are not tolerated.
  • While users can compose extensive articles within the comments, direct text file uploads are currently not supported, with potential plans for future inclusion.
  • If users prefer, they can mark a comment as "for administrator only" to discuss it privately before sharing it publicly.
